Description
Introduction of Tabriz Autumn Peach Seedlings:
Tabrizi autumn peach is one of the late ripening peach cultivars and its origin is Ardabil (Meshkinshahr). This seedling is a strong cultivar in terms of growth power and is a good option for creating a commercial peach garden. These seedlings usually start flowering in the second half of April and the flowering period is about ten days. This cultivar of peach seedlings can be planted in temperate and semi-cold mountain climates and in square distances of 3 in 3 to 5 in 5. It grows well in warm temperate climates with hot, dry summers and long frost-free winters. Peaches are resistant to cold up to -21 degrees Celsius (in some sources -23 degrees Celsius). Peaches are sensitive to late spring cold due to their early flowering and damage their flowers at -2 to -3 degrees Celsius. Peach trees are grown between latitudes 30 degrees north and 40 degrees south, and at higher latitudes, minimum winter temperatures and spring frosts limit peach planting.
Tabriz peach seedlings usually have the best growth in deep soils (1.5 meters) loamy and relatively light sand with good drainage and acidity of 6-5-6. Peach trees have a relatively high water requirement and sufficient water should be available to trees, especially in sandy and light soils to minimize the quantitative and qualitative damage to the yield and vegetative growth of trees. Peach trees need the most water during the last stages of growth. The economic life of peach trees is short and about 15 to 20, and for this reason, in newly built gardens, peach trees are used as space-filling plants.
