The fig tree, also known as Ficus, is a plant of the Morace family and has over 600 different models. Most of them are wild or ornamental. The main homeland of the fig tree is Europe, Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean region. In Iran, it is widely planted in the village of Samangan, so it is classified as a fruit of semi-warm regions. The fig tree has broad, hairy, claw-shaped leaves. The growth of the fig tree is very high and for this reason its growth height reaches between 10 and 15 meters. The lifespan of the fig tree is also very long and it is about 300 years old. The fruit of this tree is early ripening.
