Description
The origin of this cultivar is Shahrekord and due to its quality and crispy paper skin and core, it has a high commercial value and is very popular. This type of almond is mostly eaten raw or roasted as nuts. The growth type of the tree is semi-vertical and the growth rate is medium to large. This cultivar is one of the early flowering cultivars. Almonds grow best in areas with hot, dry summers and mild, humid winters, and generally require less almonds than hazelnuts and walnuts. The almond tree bears fruit about 3 years after planting and reaches economic yield about 7 years after planting.
